“I was referred to Brager Tax Law Group by my Attorney. As the representative of my deceased Aunt and Uncle’s Estates we found that a large mistake had been made on the 2009 taxes and never rectified. The IRS wanted their money. Because I live in Northern Calif. I was worried that I would have to travel down to LA often. However, that was not the case. I submitted all of the information that I had regarding the taxes and sent them to Brager Group. All other contact was done by email. Any question that I had was answered promptly. “In 2014 I brought the Brager firm a particularly complex and expensive IRS tax matter, which had gone on for over 5 years. I am not an attorney but I do a lot of work with attorneys and I have some considerable legal experience (I work as an expert witness in Federal courts). I don't have much tax knowledge and thus have to rely on tax attorneys. My matter had been handled by another attorney who was recommended to me by my estate planning attorney. All this first tax guy did was to make the matter worse. And it turns out that this first guy doesn't keep time records, doesn't carry malpractice insurance, and is basically lazy and incompetent. The old tax attorney's billing practice is that when he needs money he asks for another payment but he doesn't have keep time records to show how he earned the last payment. But, I digress. By the time I fired the old attorney and brought the case to the Brager firm, the IRS matter (dealing with patent royalties) had become a can of worms. Dennis Brager and Richard Stack reviewed all of the thousands of pages of documentation and came up to speed. They assessed and discussed the matter with me and offered professional and accurate insights and advise into the situation which allowed me to make informed decisions as to how to progress. They even identified several aspects of the matter, as well as additional law arguments, which the original tax attorney completely missed. I was very happy with the work they performed and feel that the money I spent with the Brager firm was well earned. They also accounted for every cent of the billings.
